Manchester City continued their perfect start to the season with a 4-0 victory over Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium although their victory was marred slightly by a late red card for Nolito.
Kevin De Bruyne opened the scoring for the hosts with a free kick after 15 minutes. The Belgium internation cheekily rolling the ball under the wall and in
at the near post. Kelechi Iheanacho then finished a superb move involving Nolito, De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling for the second.
Sterling then sealed the points with City’s third in fine style, the England international tapping into an empty net after great work from De Bruyne and Iheanacho before Ilkay Gundogan added a fourth.
There was still time for late drama, however, Nolito shown a red card on 86 minutes for an attempted headbutt on Adam Smith.
