Harry Potter star Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley in the magical franchise, has lost his battle for a £1million tax refund.
A tax tribunal judge ruled against the 27-year-old actor's appeal against an HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) block on him using a change in accounting dates to shield his earnings from a high tax rate.
Grint, who starred alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson in the big screen adaptation of the J.K. Rowling series, is calculated to have earned around £24 million from the Potter franchise playing the character Ron Weasley.
