Dwayne Johnson went public with his onset beef with his male co-stars, adding when he's portraying the angry Hobbs he's not even acting.

Dwayne Johnson has blasted some of his Fast and Furious 8 co-stars for acting unprofessionally.

The former wrestler reprises his role as government agent Luke Hobbs for the fourth time in the upcoming action movie, and he has revealed his experience on the eighth instalment has been fraught with frustration due to the behaviour of some of his male co-stars.

In a rare social media rant, Dwayne, who is due to finish filming the movie this week (begs08Aug16), he praised the crew and his female co-stars but revealed some of the male actors have been driving him so mad that it barely requires any acting for him to become the angry Hobbs.

"There's no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one," he wrote on Instagram. "An incredible hard working crew. UNIVERSAL has been great partners as well. My female co-stars are always amazing and I love 'em. My male co-stars however are a different story...

Dwayne is joined on the production by returning cast members Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez and Jason Statham, while new additions include Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, and Scott Eastwood. However, he didn't mention any names as he continued his uncharacteristically candid outburst.

"Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't. The ones that don't are too chicken s**t to do anything about it anyway. Candy a*ses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I'm not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling - you're right."

Dwayne concluded by adding his mood on set works very well for Hobbs so he's pleased from a production perspective and intends to "finish strong" although he has "#ZeroToleranceForCandyA*ses." He also shared a clip of Hobbs, in orange prison uniform, beating up a guard.

The movie, also known as Fast 8, is being directed by Straight Outta Compton moviemaker F. Gary Gray and is due for release in April, 2017.
