The Presidency has congratulated Nigerian-born British boxer, Anthony Femi Joshua who recently won the IBF world heavyweight champion.
In a statement by the senior special Assistant to the President on Diaspora and Foreign Relations, Honourable Abike Dabiri Erewa noted that Joshua’s win reflected hard work, tireless dedication and brave heart.
Erewa also congratulated him on his well-deserved victory, wishing him all the best in the future.
He is now the current IBF World heavyweight champion who also holds the British and Commonwealth titles.
Joshua is ranked the World Six best heavyweight boxer by the ring magazine and the second boxer in history to win a professional world heavyweight title doubling as the Olympics Champion at the top weight. He will be defending his title by June 25, this year.
