MI, Yemi Alade to judge Karaoke Competition

Hip hop artiste, MI and sensational music artiste, Yemi Alade, have been unveiled as the judges of the Tecno Own the Stage Karaoke competition while Uti Nwachukwu will be the host.

The competition, which would have several contestants from Nigeria, Kenya and Tanzania, will have the eventual winner going home with $50, 000 and an opportunity to record a song and go on a tour with a popular music act.

Speaking during the launch of the show, general manager, Mobile Apps, Tecno Mobile, Mr. Oye Akindeinde, said the competition is aimed at bringing out talents and giving people the platform to showcase their talents.


Akindeinde explained that 15 finalists would be selected eventually to contest for the top prize and other consolation prizes.

Speaking also during the launch, Mr. Efosa Aiyevbomwan, the Head, Public Relations for M-Net West Africa, said Africa Magic was delighted to partner with Tecno on the competition in order to bring the competition to screens across Africa.
