Roger federer blames Rain for wimbledon defeat to Novak Djokovic

Roger federer said the rain played a good factor in his wimbledon final defeat against novak Djokovic, he said a brief delay in the third set caused by rain was the turning point of the game.

Federer said the rain came at a very critical and crucial time, the way it came i could not take advantage of it at all.


The officials were hurriedly making us go back to the court as soon as possible.

A visibly frustrated Federer was also puzzled by Wimbledon chiefs’ decision to delay the post-match trophy presentation while the Centre Court roof was closed due to more rain.

“It was awkward, you know, having to shut the roof. You go take a shower. You come back for the ceremony,” Federer said.

“I was like, Give it to Novak. It’s his moment. Okay, fine. Let’s go take a shower, come back. So that was weird.”
