Rapper T.I.'s restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia has been hit with an eviction notice for allegedly failing to pay rent.

The Live Your Life hitmaker, real name Clifford Harris, Jr., opened his soul food restaurant Scales 925 in Atlanta, Georgia in May, 2015 and T.I. and his business partner Charles Hughes reportedly owe more than $1 million (£772,000) in back rent to their landlord, who has issued an eviction notice.

According to the New York Post's gossip column Page Six, the rapper blamed Hughes and claimed he "disrespected his brand." In a now-deleted Instagram post, T.I. also added working with him was a "HUGE mistake in hindsight".
The eviction news comes just a month after 12 of the restaurant's employees filed a lawsuit claiming they were deprived of wages and not compensated for any hours they worked overtime.

They all quit because of the alleged issues and are seeking unspecified compensation for the loss of wages, attorney fees, plus damages and a jury trial.
A representative for the restaurant told the website at the time, "We take allegations like this seriously and are looking into the matter."
