The last time something big was heard about Dammy Krane was months ago when he reportedly had an altercation with Wizkid in Lagos.
It was reported that during the fight, Wizkid threw a glass cup at Dammy Krane and he got hurt on his upper lip. Since then, it was as if Dammy Krane went under as nothing was heard about him again.
However, during a chat with Dammy Krane’s manager, Tunde Peters, Saturday Beats learnt that fences have been mended and both parties are cool with each other. In fact, it was gathered that they may have a song together.
“Obafemi Martins was able to settle the quarrel they had and after that time, they have met on several occasions. They are very cool with each other and Wizkid has asked him to send some songs that he feels they can have collaboration with. We all know that Wizkid is big and Dammy Krane is also big so he cannot be chasing him around for that because they have their careers to face. They are cool,” he said.
Saturday Beats wondered why the young singer has been silent on the music scene and it was discovered that he is no longer under Tuface’s record label, Hypetek records.
“He is no longer with Tuface’s record label. They parted ways amicably in February 2015. Everybody has their own time, the reason Dammy has been silent is because investors working with Dammy left him so it is not easy for him as an independent artiste to work on his own. That is why things have been kind of slow for him. Before he does his shows, save money to record songs, shoot videos, it would take time.
“He was signed to a record label that had been responsible for him so it has not been easy for him to manage himself now. He cannot work at the pace he used to move before. He is re-strategising and trying to work on his brand. Things would soon pick up for him. Dammy Krane is working on new songs and he is also trying to get new investors to push out his new music. He is using this opportunity to do his US tour. He is also scheduled to perform at the forthcoming Nigeria Entertainment Award in the US,” he said.
