At least 42 people were injured when a railing collapsed during a Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa concert on Friday night.
The two hip hop stars were performing at the BB&T Pavilion in New Jersey as part of the Merry Jane Presents Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa: The High Road Tour when a railing collapsed causing dozens of fans to several feet fall on to the concrete floor.
The incident happened around 10.30pm leading to shouts from the stage as Wiz and Snoop were calling for the audience to “stand up” at the time.
The Black and Yellow star and Snoop had reportedly just reached a secondary stage before the large portion of railing collapsed towards the centre of the Camden venue, according to NBC10 Philadelphia.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that the railing separated the pavilion's lawn from inside seating and collapsed when concertgoers leaned on it
An eyewitness told the paper that about 50 people fell about three metres (10 feet) onto concrete.
Snoop and Wiz Khalifa were escorted off stage by security as fans were helped from the crush.
It was reported that a Camden County Metro Police spokesman said 10 to 15 people were hurt at the time of the incident. While CNN have reported 42 people had been taken to the nearby hospital for treatment.
