Jean-Claude Van Damme stormed out of an television interview after blasting the hosts for asking "very boring" questions.
The 55-year-old actor was conducting chats for Australian television via satellite from Bangkok, Thailand, where he is understood to be filming a kickboxing movie
was during a chat with breakfast show Sunrise on Thursday (28Jul16) that the veteran actor, nicknamed the "Muscles from Brussels", had had enough.
According to news.com.au, Van Damme was left frustrated by the lack of air conditioning in the room he expected to shoot an hour of television interviews in, ahead of a speaking tour Down Under next month (Aug16).
In a clip posted on the website, he began by ranting: "Guys, you are talking behind the cameras. I'm online talking to you and I have people behind that camera talking about... because I'm sweating and everything."
Van Damme's irritation then increased when he was asked about Kylie Minogue, with whom he starred in 1994 movie Street Fighter.
"Yeah, I like Kylie, I like everybody - can I please come to Australia and talk to you?" he continued. "Sorry guys, I cannot do this anymore. You are talking to a guy who's very rough, you know? Let me talk, let me talk please. Those questions, the press have been asking me the same questions for the past 25 years. I'm coming to Australia to maybe do something different with the audience.
"Those interview you are giving me on TV right now, they are very boring. The question are very boring. It's difficult for me to answer the question so I sweat, I don't feel good, because they are boring. Next question? You have something interesting to ask me?"
Standing up and ripping off his microphone, telling the hosts he needed to use the restroom, Van Damme concluded: "What the f**k is going on with Australia? What the f**k is going on? I cannot do this, I'm too natural, you can blow this stuff away. What is this."
After cutting his Sunrise interview short, Van Damme is understood to have cancelled his other scheduled satellite chats.
