The 7th edition of the City People Entertainment Awards was held on Sunday in Lagos.
The event is held annually to celebrate entertainment legends, and those making waves today in music, movie and comedy. The award boasts of a variety of nominees from Nigeria and Ghana. Mercy Aigbe Gentry alongside Gbenga Adeyinka hosted the show.
Guests present at the event were Tunde and Wumi Obey, Ras Kimono and wife, Ruggedman, Nice, Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, Mrs Abba Folawiyo, Ozzy Bosco, Zakky Azay, Oc Ukeje, Yeni Kuti, Ejike Asiegbu, Steph nora Okere, Hilda Dokubo, Dele Odule, Ayo Adesanya, Kemi Afolabi, Adebayo Salami and others.
Reminisce won the Rap Artiste of the Year while Patoranking won the Dancehall/Reggae Act of the Year.
Best Fuji Musician of the Year was won by Obesere while DJ of the Year (Male) was won by Spinall. Album of the Year was won by Falz – Stories That Touch
Mayorkun also won the Most Promising Act of the Year at the event.
