Amy Schumer and Amber Tamblyn were among the first stars to congratulate Hillary Clinton after she made history and became the first woman to be nominated to become U.S. President by a major party on Tuesday.

But many celebrities aren't waiting for Hillary to make it official at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Schumer and actress Tamblyn took to Twitter to celebrate history in the making.
Schumer wrote: "History made! #ImWithHer @HillaryClinton", while Tamblyn found the official nomination emotional, tweeting: "I have waited this moment since the first time I met @HillaryClinton when I was 21 years old. Maybe I am crying right now...".
Actress and director Elizabeth Banks applauded Clinton's former party rival Bernie Sanders for urging his supporters to get behind the former First Lady, adding, "That is CLASS @BernieSanders", while Orange is the New Black star Uzo Aduba wrote: "Hillary Rodham Clinton just made Herstory (sic)," and, like Tamblyn, singer Ingrid Michaelson was clearly moved by the big news, adding, "First woman to head a presidential ticket. Just happened. Monumental and moving."
