The Federal High Court, Abuja, on Monday remanded a former minister of Interior, Abba Moro, in prison pending the determination of his bail application.However, the presiding judge Justice A. I. Chikere, granted the co-accused person, Anastasia Nwobia, bail following her release from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission custody.
Counsel to Nwobia, Uche Chris (SAN), asked the court to grant his client bail, arguing that she is a nursing mother and a victim of circumstance in the case.
The court granted the counsel’s request, but remanded Moro in prison.
The court will hear Moro’s bail application on Wednesday.
