A Dynamic Airways plane burst into flames on the runway at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport this afternoon.
Stunned travellers posted a series of shocking pictures and films to social networks after spotting the plane ablaze at Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport in Florida, USA.
Thick black smoke and bright orange flames were seen covering the Boeing 767.
According to reports, the plane's engine caught fire just moment before it was due to take off with passengers on board.
A total of 14 passengers were injured in the fire - three of who have been taken to hospital.
The extent of their injuries has not been revealed.
Witnesses told how they saw a line of people being taken away from the fire to the terminal building.
Heart-stopping audio of the moment air traffic controls spoke to the cockpit of the plane has also been released.
In it, someone can be heard talking to air traffic controllers speaking about seeing fluid leak from the plane.
As he continues talking, another person is suddenly heard frantically shouting: "Engine is on fire, engine on fire".
In a statement, the Federal Aviation Administration said: "Dynamic International Airways 405 apparently caught fire on Taxiway B while taxiing for departure from Runway 28 Right at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, at about 12.45pm (US time).

The aircraft can carry up to 290 passengers, but it is not yet clear how many people were on board when the plane went up in flames.
Fire crews raced to the scene and immediately began firing water onto the blazing plane.
The fire is now out and an investigation has been launched.
According to reports in Florida, the plane was taxiing on the runway when the left engine suddenly caught fire.
Airport spokesman Greg Meyer said: "I'm told one of the engines caught fire as the plane was taxiing, getting ready for departure.
"I don't know the number of people on board, and I don't know the condition of the people, but I was told the fire was put out by a fire rescue team on sight."
Dynamic is thought to be a fairly new airline that connects Fort Lauderdale, New York, Venezuela and Guyana.
