Hurricane Patricia: Strongest Hurricane ever about to hit mexico

Mexico is bracing for potentially “life-threatening” flash flooding and 39-foot waves along the coast. With sustained 200 M.P.H. winds, Hurricane Patricia is the strongest storm ever measured in the Atlantic and North Pacific basins and it’s expected to make landfall on Mexico’s Pacific coast on Friday afternoon (Oct. 23) near the tourist meccas of Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo.

Texas was already forecast to get 10 inches of rain over the weekend and Patricia could cause some serious flooding in the southern parts of the state by Sunday.

For posterity– 200 mph for a #hurricane– never seen that in modern satellite era! #Patricia #climate #ElNino pic.twitter.com/o25GoIiAuF
