A British woman watched in helpless horror as her husband and son died in the freezing sea when their whale watching boat capsized in canada

Mum of two Julie Thomas could do nothing to save Microsoft IT guru David, 50, and 18-year-old Stephen, who had Down’s Syndrome.

Julie, 49, was still recovering in hospital after the tragedy in which five British people were killed off Vancouver Island, Canada on Sunday.


The other three victims were named as Katie Taylor, 29, of Lichfield, Staffs, Nigel Hooker, 63, of Southampton and former Navy engineer Jack Slater, 76.

The search continues for a missing 27-year-old Australian feared also to have died after the Leviathan II cruiser capsized near Tofino.
