But Xenia Deli is insisting that not only are they just friends, but that the pop star encouraged her to connect with her faith.
In an interview with People magazine, the 25-year-old model put the romance rumours to rest while recalling how Justin 'taught me a lot about God.'
Xenia found humour in the speculation that she and Justin are an item, and seemed to be referring to a dinner date they had before the release of What Do You Mean?
In a series of snaps and recorded videos captured by fans in late August, the pair were spotted enjoying a night together at a piano bar, which fuelled speculation that they were dating.
However, Xenia squashed rumours when she told the publication: 'This is actually a funny moment because we're not dating and we went to dinner as friends.
'[There's] nothing between us, but it's just funny how people make up stories,' she added.
Xenia also noted Justin's faith when she recalled his show of emotion at the MTV Video Music Awards, where he teared up following his performance.
'I wasn't actually surprised because he taught me a lot about God – he was teaching me I should learn,' Xenia said, speaking of how they discussed spirituality while working together.
