Fayose Set To Dump The PDP

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has hinted that he would be forced to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) should the Supreme Court ruling in the case between Senator Ahmed Makarfi and Senator Ali Modu-Sheriff scheduled for May 25 favour the latter.
Fayose gave this hint on Tuesday while reacting to reports that he had removed the party’s logo and name from his campaign office, according to Channels TV.
Fayose in reaction to the online report which published the signposts mounted on Ado and Ikere-Ekiti roads which were devoid of association with his political platform, said he remains a bona fide member of the
Peoples Democratic party, PDP, though that might change based on the outcome of the apex court ruling.
The protracted PDP leadership tussle was credited to have cost the party major seats in the 2015 elections and had further led to a Supreme Court appeal by the factional leader, Ahmed Makarfi after Ali Modu-Sheriff was declared National Chairman of the PDP on February 17 by a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt thereby rendering the caretaker committee headed by Senator Ahmed Makarfi illegal.
