Jennifer Lopez turned heads in a super sexy Julien Macdonald gown at the Billboard Latin Music Awards on Thursday night (27Apr17).
Jennifer Lopez made a serious statement in a plunging black gown at the Billboard Latin Music Awards.
The singer and actress turned heads as she walked the red carpet at the Watsco Center in Miami, Florida on Thursday night (27Apr17), sporting a sparkly black number from Julien Macdonald's fall/winter 2017 collection. Not only did the dress feature a plunging neckline and thigh-high split, but also carefully placed cutout detailing throughout the bodice. Jennifer accessorised the look with matching earrings by Lynn Ban and black platform heels from Jimmy Choo, while her hair stylist Chris Appleton swept up her golden tresses into a sleek ponytail.
The 47-year-old's longtime stylists Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn came up with the look, and shared that they wanted to put the star in an "unexpected" ensemble for the glitzy event.
"The sexy cut, plunging neckline and open back is something that's become a signature for Jennifer; sexy, feminine, fearless," the duo told Billboard of the dress. "However, the dress being black with its intricate outlines is a bit edgier and has more of a 'Gothic' feel than what you'd expect Jennifer Lopez to wear... It has a major surprise factor yet is still completely her, which is essentially the goal."
At the ceremony, Jennifer took to the stage to premiere a new song from her Spanish album Mirate, for which she wore another sexy Julien Macdonald gown, which was complete with cutouts and silver sequins.
Following her performance, the mother-of-two was presented with the Telemundo Star Award, and received a huge round of applause as she thanked her family and fans for their support.
"I am humbled to be here in your presence and to accept this award. I love you guys so much," she smiled.
