Pop star-turned-fashion icon Victoria Beckham is expanding her empire by launching a limited edition cosmetic line with Estee Lauder.
The Victoria Beckham Estee Lauder collection will hit stores on 13 September (16), but fans attending the former Spice Girls star's New York runway show on 11 September (16) will get a preview of the line when models walk down the runway sporting the products.
The collection will be made for women of every colour, ethnicity and age, according to David Beckham's wife.
"I was very specific about what I wanted," she tells WWD.com. "It was about the must-have items that I felt everybody should have in their makeup bag, things that are really quite difficult to find."
"So I've been very honest, very true to myself," she continues. "This has been something that I've wanted to do for so many years."
The collection will feature 15 products, including a limited-edition portable mirror, eyeshadow, a lip pencil, and a Daylight Edition mirror ranging in price from $30 (GBP23) to $1,200 (GBP930).
And the 42-year-old insists she wants products in the collection that make it simple for a woman to do her own makeup.
"All looks are very me, whether it's what I'd wear during the day, evening, or for editorial purposes," she says. "It's making it very, very easy for the customer. I'm not a professional makeup artist. I'm not a model. I don't have hours to follow instructions. I'm a busy working mum, and I think there are lots of women in my position, and I just want it made easy for them."
