Drake made the crowd in Ohio go wild on Saturday night (13Aug16) when native LeBron James joined him on stage.
The One Dance star brought his Summer Sixteen tour to Columbus, just hours away from the basketball star's hometown of Akron, and just south of Cleveland, where LeBron plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Just before going into his song Pop Style, Drake told the thousands at Nationwide Arena he had a special surprise for them, introducing the hometown hero to the stage by saying, "Ohio, if you don't make some noise for 'the King' right now you're out of your mind. Now we gotta do it for old time's sake."
In video footage posted online, the audience is heard erupting into cheers and applause for the superstar, as he danced along to the Views track and even assisted Drake on the chorus.
The hip-hop star paid homage to LeBron by changing the lyrics to his song, rapping, "Bronny, Bronny had to handle that one his way."
Following the performance, LeBron told the crowd to give it up for Drake, while the rapper and avid basketball fan replied, "And one more time, for the man who came back home and brought a motherf**king championship instead of doing anything different. Make some noise for the King, LeBron James is here tonight. It's love, man. That's a hometown hero right there."
LeBron spent seven years with the Cavaliers from 2003 to 2010, the year he controversially left for the Miami Heat without delivering the city's first NBA championship.
After winning two championships in Miami, he returned to play for the Cavaliers four years later (14), and earlier this year (16), he led his hometown franchise to victory by winning the NBA championship for the first time ever and was named the NBA Finals MVP.
As LeBron walked off the stage at Drake's concert, the audience continued to praise the star, by chanting, "MVP! MVP!".
