El-Rufai sacks top civil servants over land, hajj matters

For allegedly failing to adhere to the reform and probity cardinals of the current administration, several top officials of the Kaduna government have been fired.
Three memos issued separately yesterday said Governor Nasir el-Rufai had ordered the disengagement of Charles Akau Ibrahim, Director of Urban Planning and Research; Adamu Aliyu Nuhu, Director of Development Control and Philemon Mairabo, Director, Urban Planning and Research. They are all of the Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Agency (KASUPDA).
Also, two officials of the Kaduna State Geographic Information Service (KADGIS), Jacob Makadas Kogi and Joshua A. Gambas, were axed for abusing the revised Millennium City layout.

In the dismissal letters signed by Mrs. Grace Yusuf Bature on behalf of KASUPDA General Manager Mrs. Saratu M.Haruna, the trio were disengaged following their indictment in land deals by a panel commissioned by go vernment.
Another correspondence signed by Ibrahim Hussaini conveyed the suspension of Kogi and Gambas.
Also, three employees of the Local Government Service Commission, Abubakar Hamza, Saidu Baba and Balarabe Ilyasu, were sacked for allegedly defrauding pilgrims.
Their fate was contained in yet another letter issued by the commission’s Deputy Director, Administration and Finance, Zakari Mohammed on behalf of the Head of Service.
