Iheanacho eyes first silverware with Manchester city

Nigeria youngster Kelechi Iheanacho is confident his team Manchester City will capture its first silverware when they clash with Liverpool in the League Cup final on Sunday.

It will also be his first silverware too after gaining first team shirt.  Iheanacho has progressed rapidly as a youth prodigy after being named in the Manchester City first team at the start of the season and has made the best of the opportunity by posting good performances whenever he gets the chance to don the sky-blue jersey of the Citizens.

Last Wednesday, he made his debut game in the UEFA Champions League coming on for Sergio Aguero in a Round of 16 tie against host team Dynamo Kiev which the Citizens won 3-1.

Meanwhile, Kolo Toure will not let brotherly love get the better of him when Liverpool take on Yaya Toure’s Manchester City in the League Cup final on Sunday.

Kolo said he would do whatever he had to do to stop Yaya from scoring should he have a chance in the match. [I would] take him out, big time,” Kolo told BBC.

“Because I want to win, that’s it. I think he knows me. He knows that if he’s going to score a goal, anything I can do to stop him, I will and he knows that.”
