Robben pleads for 'world's best' Guardiola to stay at Bayern
Arjen Robben has pleaded for Bayern Munich head coach Josep Guardiola to stay with the German champions beyond the end of his current contract.

The Catalan’s deal in Bavaria expires at the end of the season and he’s yet to commit his future to the club beyond that point.

Reports on Spanish radio station COPE last week suggested he has already agreed a deal to take over from Manuel Pellegrini at Manchester City next summer, while Manchester United has also been touted as a possible destination.

Speaking at an event for a Bayern supporters club, Robben said: “We have one of the best coaches in the world and as many of our players have already said, we all want him to stay.

“It is a lot of fun working with him. Tactically he is perhaps the best - and I don't say that just because he’s our coach at the moment.

“He is also a perfect human fit with Bayern.”

Guardiola has been in at the Allianz Arena since 2013, during which time there has been speculation that Robben himself would leave the club.

However, the Dutchman, who turns 32 in January, claims he’s never thought about leaving, nor does he imagine leaving while he still has time on his contract.

“I never thought about a transfer [away from Bayern],” he continued.

“I am happy in Munich; my family is happy in Munich
