Katy performed “Firework” at an Iowa Rally and took over Clinton’s Instagram account, showing off her Hillary manicure and, of course, some selfies.
The pop star and Clinton don’t just have close ties — they also have close birthdays. Clinton celebrated her birthday the day after Katy on Oct. 26, and KP gave her a special shout-out on Instagram, voicing her support for the potential 2016 Democratic nominee.
“So, I stand with her for my daughters and their daughters, and beyond what time gives me,” Katy captioned a section of the photo. “Get informed, get involved and become empowered!”
