Nigerian Athletes gets dollar reward

There was a scent of excitement in the camp of Nigerian athletes as the 2015 All Africa Games to an end yesterday in Brazzaville, Congo. This is because all the athletes were settled their allowances and those who won medals received ‘winning bonuses’.

The gold medalist got $2000, silver $1500 and bronze $1000 and these bonuses were handed over to the concerned athletes after their events. Some of the delegates who spoke on the development showered praises on the Nigerian government for not toying with their welfare.


“We are very excited by the gesture. All our camping and winning bonuses were paid right after our events, there was come back today and come back tomorrow,” said one of the athletes while shoveling food
